- First, he suggested that they sacrificed to the Lord in Egypt. In our case, the world wants us to have our focus still in the world, not on Christ.
- His second proposal was that they should not go very far. The world says to us 'sure, believe what you want, just stay near to us'. That's not what we should do. We need to be far from the temptation of the world.
- The third suggestion was for the men to go, but for the children to stay behind. The world says 'have your faith, but don't encourage your children into it'. But remember the verse 'Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth' Ecclesiastics 12:1.
- Pharaoh's final suggestion was to leave the cattle. In our case 'have your faith, but keep your work in the world.' I'm not saying to give up your job, but don't divide your heart. The Israelite's would need the cattle to sacrifice, and in the same way as Pharaoh was deceiving in his compromises, so is the devil.

Moses (part 2)
Continuing with Moses, I think that there is something really important for us to learn. Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh to ask him to let the people go. (Read the whole story in Exodus 8) Pharaoh wanted to compromise with them:
