Don't be discouraged
Sometimes, when I study the Bible in the quiet times, I get discouraged because I am not understanding what is written. The truth is, that I need to understand other things before I can get to the more complex things. You remember when you were in school, right? In your first year, they didn't get you to do long division because you first needed to know your numbers. It's the same with the Bible. Peter wrote that we should 'as newborn babes desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby.' 1 Peter 2:2. You can't expect a baby to eat bread; that can only be achieved by having milk. We start off with the simple things in the Bible, and as we grow spiritually, we are able to understand more complex parts of it.
