Life or death?

A friend of mine recently found out that his dad has cancer.  Another friend’s dad died a couple of weeks ago from cancer also. It’s a sad thought, that maybe these people have no idea that after death, there is either eternal death or eternal life. Or maybe they have heard this message, but don’t want to believe it. The reality is that these people know that they are going to die soon (I know it sounds harsh but it’s true). But for many of us, we don’t know. We think ‘I have ages yet to live’ but do you really know that? Anything could happen.  We also don’t know when the Lord will come again to take us to be in heaven, but ‘the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:2.  Are you ready for this? After earthly death, there is either death or life and it is your choice. Jesus paid the punishment for your sins and if you choose to accept his gift to you and ask for forgiveness from your sins, you will be saved and will receive eternal life. ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved’ Acts 16:31.
